This policy explains what Commentio (commentio.app and my.commentio.app) collects about you, why it does so, and what you can do about it. Commentio is run by IDV Works ("we", "us"). If anything here is unclear, write to [email protected].
Your account. Your email address and name. If you sign up with a password, we keep only a one-way scrambled form of it, never the password itself. If you sign in with Google, Google passes us your name, email address and profile picture.
Sign-in security. If you turn on two-step sign-in or passkeys, the data they need. We also keep a record of sign-ins (date, IP address, browser) to protect your account.
What you give the service to work on. Links to videos and posts, texts you paste, files you upload, and the results the service prepares from them.
Payments. What you bought, when and for how much. Card details are entered on the page of our payment provider, Paddle, and never reach us.
Messages to support and what you write in them.
Technical records our servers keep in order to work and to find faults: requests, errors and IP addresses.
To provide the service you asked for, to keep your account secure, to take payments and keep accounting records, to answer you, and to find and fix faults. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to show you advertising.
Google. Its AI models (Gemini) process the material you ask us to work on - speech and text - to produce transcripts, translations and the other results you see. Google also provides "Sign in with Google" and YouTube, from which we read the details of public videos and in whose player videos are played. Paddle takes payments as the seller of record and handles your payment details under its own privacy policy.
Cloudflare delivers the site, protects it from attacks and stores some files, such as pictures.
Our hosting providers, whose servers run the service, and the provider that delivers the emails we send you.
Each of them receives only what it needs for its part of the work.
We use only the cookies the service needs: to keep you signed in, to protect forms and to remember your language. We use no advertising or analytics cookies. A YouTube player on our pages may set YouTube's own cookies.
Your account and what is in it - for as long as the account exists. When you delete your account, its data is deleted, except payment records, which we keep for as long as accounting law requires. Technical records are kept for a limited time and then deleted.
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, to correct it, to give you a copy, or to delete it, and you can object to how we use it. Write to [email protected] and we will answer within 30 days. You can also complain to the data protection authority of your country.
Commentio is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
We publish every new edition on this page, with its date. If a change matters for how your data is used, we tell you about it in advance.
